June 27 2008 - NetInsight 7.4

NetInsight is the latest feature release of NetInsight including the following enhancements:

Affinium NetInsight 7.4

New Features/Changes

  • Sample reporting mode: If your profile administrator has enabled data sampling, you can work with reports that display projections based on a random sample of the profile data. Working with a profile's full data set may be more time-consuming than is practical for ad-hoc analysis. Some tasks, such as exploring data or creating reports, can be accomplished more quickly using a subset of the data with the calculations extrapolated to the full data set. If you have the appropriate permission, and Sample mode has been enabled for your profile, you can switch back and forth between Full and Sample mode at any time.
  • Page tagging enhancements:  The page tagging script has been modified to optionally assign a cookie for visitor identification. This cookie and other cookies assigned by the site being analyzed can now be included in page tag requests so that they may be used by NetInsight for sessionization and parameter analysis.
  • Customizable executive dashboards:  The Executive Dashboard report that was previously static can now be customized to display desired dashboard sections and metrics within these sections.
  • Dashboards containing text and graph sections:  Dashboards are now able to include both graphs and sections that contain a list of metrics similar to the sections currently included in the Executive Dashboard Summary.
  • Portal dashboard URL export:  A new export method is available allowing users to construct a URL that can be used to generate report as a dashboard section. This URL can than be used to include this NetInsight dashboard content in an external application or portal.
  • City level geographic visualization: A new city level visualization is available that represents cities as bubbles on the map. This helps improve the granular level of mapping that NetInsight can provide outside of the US.
  • Zoom and pan within geographic visualizations: Map visualizations are now more interactive allowing users to zoom and pan within the map.  Users can also click and drag on the map in order to make a selection that will re-center and zoom the map visualization.
  • Auto-updated reports options screen:  A new options screen has been added that shows what reports are currently configured to be automatically updated and what reports are not configured to be automatically updated. As a result, users can now change report generation options for multiple reports in batch. This option is available both for Full reporting mode and Sample reporting mode.
  • Query optimizations:  A number of query optimizations were included in this release intended to result in performance enhancements for a number of specific reporting scenarios.
